ITALY 1816 - 1873
The son of Antonio and Maria, they owned a small inn. It was on a highway on the road to Rome. There were 7 children in the family he was the eldest. He was more interested in learning the arts of cooking from his mother than working in the vineyards with his father. This was a good life but very hard work. They were a reasonably well off family for the time. He was a short man with a bright happy personality and a ready smile. This was a good Christian family and helped were they could. No one went hungry from their door even if they had no money. He took over all the cooking when he was 17 and the establishment grew in reputation. He married Lucia, a local village girl and they had 11 children. He was a plump young man who grew very fat over time; mind you he was a great cook. He was known far and wide in time and many came long distances to taste his pastries. He was offered many positions in houses of wealthy people but stuck to enlarging and improving the inn. Many extensions were added in his time and he made it so people could stop over and sleep. He was a gentle happy generous man and all loved him. Unfortunately his love affair with food was his undoing he died of a heart attack aged 57

ENGLAND 1745
I saw a young girl give birth in a dark place i was given that this was the public work house, used to house orphans, homeless and lunatics.

The child, a girl was named rose Mary by the woman in charge
She stays in this place until around 7 years old when she was taken in service to a big house.
The next impression I received was of Rose around 19, in a maids uniform and very happy. She is about to give birth to a son. I am given she wed the under butler, and they lived in quarters at the back of the house. They had seven children and quite a good life
She was a good seamstress and became invaluable to the women of the household. She was a robust, smiling person. She passed around 54 of an influenza type illness

ENGLAND 1890
LUCY ATWELL daughter of a sailor Michael and Sarah a seamstress. She was one of 11 children. The father was away most of the time and only home long enough to produce another mouth for Sarah to feed and away again. The children worked at odd jobs to help make ends meet. Sarah worked in the markets fetching and carrying for the fishmongers, in return she was given fish heads and stuff which they made into soup. She was a friendly outspoken child and very pretty having blonde hair and green eyes. She was taken by two men when she was 11 and bundled into a carriage and taken into the country side. She was raped and tortured by these men who were of well to do families. Then murdered, by having her throat cut. The body was pushed into deep water and she was never found
