CIRCLE SWEPT ...  Prepare your sacred space inside or out... better it be in the light of the moon

witches broom swift in flight

cast out darkness bring in light

earth be hallow.. air be clear

fire bright as water heals

LAY CIRCLE WITH STAFF...  OR CRYSTAL OR YOUR ATHAME

 

By the power of the witches staff

Is the magic circle cast

A strong enclosure a powerful tomb

Safe within the Goddess womb

A sacred space a world apart

Where energies meet and magic starts

With air and fire this circle I tread

To know our will is magic tis said

By earth and water this circle complete

To dare and keep silent this pledge we keep

 

CONJURE CIRCLE ... Call your magical space into being

 

Red spirits and grey,

Harken to the rune I say.

 Four points of the Circle, weave the spell

, East, South, West, North, your tale do tell

. East is for break of day,

 South is white for the noontide hour

, In the West is twilight grey,

 And North is black, for the place of power

. Three times round the Circle's cast.

Great ones, spirits from the past,

"Diana of the rounded moon,

The Queen of all enchantments here,

As powers of magic round us move

 Now let time's self dissolve and fade.

 Here in the place between the worlds

May we be one with nature made.

Thy consort is the Horn'd One

 Whose sevenfold pipes make music sweet.

Old Gods of life and love and light,

Be here as merrily we meet!

 For ye the circle's round we tread,

 And unto ye the wine we pour;

The sacred Old Ones of this land,

 Ye we invoke by ancient lore

DARK GODDESS

Arms held towards the ground

 

I call upon she who unveils all mysteries

Oh mother of all creation Goddess Hecate

The three and the one

Goddess of fertility and fullness

Oh wise one filled with lunar secrets

Whose torches of the moon light the darkened  sky

Full orbed Hecate, mistress of enchantments

Queen of heaven, earth and the under world

Protectress of witches and magic

Come now into your priestess

 

Fill me with your presence

Oh gracious Queen, mother of all witcheries

Attend and bless this rite

 

 

THIS IS A TIME NOW TO DO YOUR WORK

WHEN WORK IS COMPLETED

 

FACE THE MOON OR YOUR ALTAR

 

Hear now the words of the witches,

 The secrets we hid in the night,

 When dark was our destiny's pathway,

 That now we bring forth into the light.

Mysterious Water and Fire, The Earth and the wide-ranging Air,

By hidden quintessence we know them,

And will keep silent and dare.

 The birth and rebirth of all nature

, The passing of winter and spring,

We share with the life universal,

 Rejoice in the magical ring.

 Four times in the year the Great Sabbat Returns,

 and the witches are seen At Lammas and Candlemas dancing,

On May Eve and old Hallowe'en.

 

When day time and night time are equal,

When sun is at greatest and least

, The four lesser Sabbats are summoned,

 Again witches gather in feast.

 Thirteen silver moons in a year are,

 Thirteen is the Coven's array.

 Thirteen times at Esbat make merry,

For each golden year and a day

. The power was passed down the ages

, Each time between woman and man,

 Each century unto the other,

Ere time and ages began.

 When drawn is the magical circle,

By sword or athame of power,

It's compass between the two worlds lies,

 In the land of shades that hour.

 This world has no right to know it,

And the world beyond will tell naught

 The oldest of gods are invoked there,

 The Great Work of Magic is wrought.

 For two are the mystical pillars,

That stand at the gate of the shrine,

 And two are the powers of nature,

 The forms and the forces of the divine.

 The dark and the light in succession,

The opposites each unto each,

 Shown forth as a God and a Goddess:

 This did our ancestors teach.

By night he's the wild wind's rider,

The Horn'd One, the Lord of the Shades.

 By day he's the King of the Woodland,

The dweller in green forest glades.

She is youthful or old as she pleases,

 She sails the torn clouds in her barque,

 The bright silver lady of midnight,

The crone who weaves spells in the dark

. The master and mistress of magic,

They dwell in the deeps of the main,

Immortal and ever renewing,

 With power to free or to bind.

  So drink the good wine to the Old Gods,

 And dance and make love in their praise

, Till Elphames's fair land shall receive us

In peace at the end of our days.

 And Do What Thou Wilt shall be the challenge,

 So be it in love that harms none,

 For this is the only commandment,

 By magic of old, be it done!

SHARE FOOD AND WINE WITH GROUP OR SIMPLY SIT WITH THE GODDESS

THERE IS NO NEED TO TAKE DOWN THIS GENTLE CIRCLE .. SIMPLY ALLOW THE ENERGY TO SEEP INTO YOUR SPACE

 

GODDESS RITE OF JOY
TO CELEBRATE
NEW MOON

Let me share with you a ritual, which always brings me joy and contentment.

This is a dance of joy and communication with the Goddess energies.

Open up your heart and allow the movements to become free and flowing

Best enacted under the light of the moon herself … to music that suits yourself and mood or a simple drumbeat is wonderful

 

The Goddess is Above Me. (raise your arms high above your head & feel energy coming down from the Sky)

The Goddess is Below Me. (point your arms to the ground and sense energy rising from the Earth.)

The Goddess is Before Me. (point your arms to the front, palms outward and sense energy rising from the Earth).

The Goddess is Behind Me. (extend your arms in back of you and sense energy flowing into you as you do this.)

The Goddess is Around Me. (move your arms freely around you and sense the energy spiralling around you from all directions)

The Goddess is Within Me. (hold your hands to your Heart and sense the energy from all directions centring deep within your being) (repeat)

The Goddess is Within Me. (sense your oneness with the Goddess, and as you say…)

The Goddess is Around Me. (move your arms around you freely again and feel yourself being a radiant source of Goddess energy.)

Continue to repeat the chant and let the movements become a dance. Allow this chant-dance to move you into an ecstatic state of consciousness. Allow communication to flow from the Goddess to your heart centre.

When you are ready simply say;

The Goddess is One with Me.

By the Earth that is Her mighty body,
by the Waters of Her living womb,
by the Fire of Her bright and eternal spirit,
and by the Air that is Her sweet breath,
the circle is open but unbroken.
May the magic of the Goddess be ever in our hearts.
